While the grapes are ripening, the tomatoes and basil are coming along nicely.  If only pasta and parmesan grew in the garden.

The quail are in evidence these last weeks.  Evenings, a covey traverses the lawn.  The father strikes a noble lookout pose on a rock while the family forages.  Once hardly seen amongst the grass blades, the babies have doubled in size.
